Cable Services Group has become a proud “natural partner” of the North Wales Wildlife Trust. In collaboration with the Trust, Enfys Ecology, and other businesses on Wrexham Industrial Estate, Cable Services is working to enhance its natural surroundings, promoting both environmental sustainability and employee well-being.

In an effort to improve the natural environment around its Wrexham branch, the UK’s leading specialist electrical cable and equipment supplier has embarked on a series of environmentally sensitive landscaping and site management initiatives. This collaborative effort aims to enrich the local ecosystem and promote biodiversity while improving employee wellbeing through access to natural outdoor spaces.

This partnership brings numerous benefits to Cable Services Group employees, the environment, and the wider community. Enhancing natural habitats promotes biodiversity and supports wildlife sustainability. Wild spaces also play a vital role in absorbing carbon and greenhouse gases. By offering green outdoor spaces where employees can relax and connect with nature, Cable Services aims to improve overall wellbeing and foster a more productive and enjoyable work environment.

Cable Services Group received a grant to support much of the landscaping work for this project. The company also invested in outdoor furniture to ensure that its employees could comfortably enjoy the green space and the natural surroundings. It also created a pond to support local wildlife, providing an essential water source and habitat that enriches the area’s biodiversity.

Jason Bostock, Managing Director of Cable Services Group, is proud to contribute to the fight against climate change and support nature recovery in North Wales. He said:

“The North Wales Wildlife Trust emphasised that ‘nature is good for business,’ and we couldn’t agree more. Supporting the natural environment around our industrial facility is deeply rewarding, and we look forward to discovering more about the wildlife we’re attracting to this part of the estate. This initiative not only helps us meet our sustainability and climate targets but also provides employees with a tranquil retreat away from the office. Prioritising employee wellness is crucial to us, and we’re already seeing noticeable improvements in both morale and productivity.”

Cable Services Group remains committed to sustainable practices that promote a harmonious relationship between industry and nature. Its work with the North Wales Wildlife Trust and Enfys Ecology is a testament to the effectiveness of partnerships in achieving environmental goals. The company is delighted that this initiative is also contributing to employee satisfaction and creating a more balanced and positive working environment for all.
